Subject: Iain is off to Afghanistan
Hi Folks,
Just to let you know that Iain left for Afghanistan yesterday (Saturday).
We went up to Petawawa on Thursday evening to have supper together and have a little visit before he departed. Here
are some pics from that evening ...

Jennifer and the boys drove Iain to the base early Saturday morning. On Sunday morning Iain called Jennifer to say that
they had reached their intermediate stopover (somewhere in the Middle East, I think). They were due to leave for Kabul
on Sunday afternoon (Ottawa time) and should have landed at Kabul Airport about two hours ago (9:30 pm Ottawa
time). As I write this he has probably arrived at the Canadian camp ... here's a DND pic of the camp:
